Your College Needs You.

Well MAJ'S,

If you find yourself in a creative frenzy what with all this blogging and all, why not channel your energies into an D.I.T entertainment related article? Ent's related features would be especially welcome.

Failure.

My plans for domination in the music journo world were scuppered today. Negotiated my first 'proper' interview through a kind lady from MCD. Subject of scrutiny being up and coming Scottish band Sons and Daughters. I was so enthusiastic about the whole affair that I even shelled out €17.99 to buy the album legit. Wasn't into it so much at first but it's definitely a grower. Anyway, I digress. When I finally get through, the band are travelling through France and the line is crap. I have five minutes speaking with lead singer Adele before the line goes dead. Disaster. I keep dialling for the next half an hour but to no avail, and give up totally when the 'scary one' on switchboard starts taking my calls. It will be interesting to see how much mileage I can get out of the fact that her favourite teenage album was Roxy Musics 'Avalon' and that her Granny bought her Adam Ants 'Kings of the Wild Frontier'. Fascinating stuff.
On the up side it transpires that, unbeknownst to ourselves, me and Alys have co-edited an entire ent's section of the current issue of Compact. Man, if I knew it was going to be this easy I would've went for the editors post.

Welcome!!!

Friends, classmates, bloggers lend me your eyes!
Yes folks, it's what you've all been waiting for. The blog of the century 'differentnegativedifferent'. Hmm, that name will probably have to go in the next couple of days. Those words have been racing around in my head for the past three days for some inexplicable reason. Hopefully getting them out there in blog-space will vanquish them for good.
The creation of this 'spot', if you will, is long overdue. And not a lot of planning has gone into it either. On the menu we'll have a good dose of vacuous rubbish talk as I haven't looked at a newspaper in about four days, and haven't been thinking about anything of any consequence either. I know it doesn't sound promising, but I'll sort it out soon. Scouts honour.
